This trial tests if adding a new drug called Serplulimab to standard treatments (chemotherapy and radiotherapy) can help patients with a specific type of lung cancer. Serplulimab aims to boost the immune system to fight cancer more effectively. Serplulimab has shown benefits when combined with chemotherapy in previous trials.

511 Participants Needed

This trial is testing two different treatment combinations for patients with extensive-stage small cell lung cancer who have not received any prior treatment. One group will receive a new drug called Serplulimab along with standard chemotherapy, while the other group will receive an existing drug called Atezolizumab with the same chemotherapy. Both immunotherapy drugs aim to help the immune system fight cancer, and the chemotherapy drugs work by killing cancer cells. Atezolizumab has been shown to improve survival in small-cell lung cancer when combined with chemotherapy, changing the standard first-line therapy.

This phase II trial studies the effect of venetoclax together with busulfan, cladribine, and fludarabine in treating patients with high-risk acute myeloid leukemia or myelodysplastic syndrome who are undergoing stem cell transplant. Chemotherapy drugs, such as venetoclax, busulfan, cladribine, and fludarabine, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Adding venetoclax to the current standard of care stem cell transplant regimen of busulfan, fludarabine, and cladribine may help to control high-risk acute myeloid leukemia or myelodysplastic syndrome.

This phase III trial compares minimally invasive surgery (MIS) to laparotomy in treating patients with stage IIIC-IV ovarian, primary peritoneal, or fallopian tube cancer who are receiving chemotherapy before and after surgery (neoadjuvant chemotherapy). MIS is a surgical procedure that uses small incision(s) and is intended to produce minimal blood loss and pain for the patient. Laparotomy is a surgical procedure which allows the doctors to remove some or all of the tumor and check if the disease has spread to other organs in the body. MIS may work the same or better than standard laparotomy after chemotherapy in prolonging the return of the disease and/or improving quality of life after surgery.

This phase III trial studies how well letrozole with or without paclitaxel and carboplatin works in treating patients with stage II-IV low-grade serous carcinoma of the ovary, fallopian tube, or peritoneum. Letrozole is an enzyme inhibitor that lowers the amount of estrogen made by the body which in turn may stop the growth of tumor cells that need estrogen to grow. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as paclitaxel and carboplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. It is not yet known whether giving letrozole alone or in combination with paclitaxel and carboplatin works better in treating patients with low-grade serous carcinoma of the ovary, fallopian tube, or peritoneum compared to paclitaxel and carboplatin without letrozole.

Why Other Patients Applied

"I changed my diet in 2020 and I’ve lost 95 pounds from my highest weight (283). I am 5’3”, female, and now 188. I still have a 33 BMI. I've been doing research on alternative approaches to continue my progress, which brought me here to consider clinical trials."

"I was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer three months ago, metastatic to my liver, and I have been receiving and responding well to chemotherapy. My blood work revealed that my tumor markers have gone from 2600 in the beginning to 173 as of now, even with the delay in treatment, they are not going up. CT Scans reveal they have been shrinking as well. However, chemo is seriously deteriorating my body. I have 4 more treatments to go in this 12 treatment cycle. I am just interested in learning about my other options, if any are available to me."

ID
Pancreatic Cancer PatientAge: 40

"As a healthy volunteer, I like to participate in as many trials as I'm able to. It's a good way to help research and earn money."

"My orthopedist recommended a half replacement of my right knee. I have had both hips replaced. Currently have arthritis in knee, shoulder, and thumb. I want to avoid surgery, and I'm open-minded about trying a trial before using surgery as a last resort."

HZ
Arthritis PatientAge: 78

"I've tried several different SSRIs over the past 23 years with no luck. Some of these new treatments seem interesting... haven't tried anything like them before. I really hope that one could work."

ZS
Depression PatientAge: 51
THIS STUDY IS CURRENTLY RECRUITING PATIENTS WITH ALVEOLAR SOFT PART SARCOMA ONLY AND IS NO LONGER RECRUITING PATIENTS WITH SYNOVIAL SARCOMA OR LEIOMYOSARCOMA. This study evaluates the safety and efficacy of AL3818 (anlotinib) hydrochloride in the treatment of metastatic or advanced alveolar soft part sarcoma (ASPS), leiomyosarcoma (LMS), and synovial sarcoma (SS). All participants with ASPS will receive open-label AL3818. In participants with LMS or SS, AL3818 will be compared to IV dacarbazine. This is an international phase III trial, with a Bayesian design, incorporating two sequential randomisations. It efficiently examines a series of questions that routinely arise in the sequencing of treatment. The study design has evolved from lengthy international consultation that has enabled us to build consensus over which questions arise from current knowledge and practice. It will enable potential randomisation for the majority of patients with inguinal lymph node metastases and will provide data to inform future clinical decisions. InPACT-neoadjuvant patients are stratified by disease burden as assessed by radiological criteria. Treatment options are then defined according to the disease burden strata. Treatment is allocated by randomisation. Patients may be allocated to one of three initial treatments: A. standard surgery (ILND); B. neoadjuvant chemotherapy followed by standard surgery (ILND); or C. neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy followed by standard surgery (ILND). After ILND, patients are defined as being at low or high risk of recurrence based on histological interpretation of the ILND specimen. Patients at high risk of relapse are eligible for InPACT-pelvis, where they are randomised to either: P. prophylactic PLND Q. no prophylactic PLND

The objective of the rFVIIa for Acute Hemorrhagic Stroke Administered at Earliest Time (FASTEST) Trial is to establish the first treatment for acute spontaneous intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) within a time window and subgroup of patients that is most likely to benefit. The central hypothesis is that rFVIIa, administered within 120 minutes from stroke onset with an identified subgroup of patients most likely to benefit, will improve outcomes at 180 days as measured by the Modified Rankin Score (mRS) and decrease ongoing bleeding as compared to standard therapy. FASTEST Part 2 is an extension of the FASTEST Trial where the subgroups include only those treated within 2 hours with a positive spot sign on a baseline CT angiogram.

The goal of this clinical trial is to learn if Phentolamine Ophthalmic Solution works to treat adults that have had keratorefractive surgery and have decreased visual acuity under mesopic conditions. It will also learn about the safety of Phentolamine Ophthalmic Solution. The main questions it aims to answer are: Researchers will compare Phentolamine Ophthalmic Solution to a placebo (a look-alike substance that contains no drug) to see if Phentolamine Ophthalmic Solution works to improve vision in low light conditions. Participants will: Take Phentolamine Ophthalmic Solution or a placebo drop every day for 2 weeks Visit the clinic once every week for 2 weeks for checkups and tests Keep a diary of when they instill the study medication each evening
