Researchers are looking for new ways to treat rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Methotrexate (MTX) is a standard (usual) treatment for RA. However, MTX and other current treatments may not work well to treat RA symptoms for many people. This study will help find out if a study medicine called tulisokibart can treat symptoms of active RA in people who are taking MTX. In this study, researchers will look at different doses of tulisokibart. Researchers want to learn if at least one of the study doses of tulisokibart works better than a placebo to lessen RA symptoms. A placebo looks like the study medicine but has no study medicine in it. Using a placebo helps researchers better understand the effects of the study medicine.

The goal of this clinical study is to learn more about the study drug GS-0151. The study is done to find how safe, well-tolerated the drug is. This will also assess how the drug is absorbed, modified, distributed and cleared from the body (the pharmacokinetics (PK) of the drug), when given multiple times to participants with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). The primary objectives of this study is to assess the safety and tolerability of multiple ascending doses of GS-0151 in participants with RA and to characterize the PK of GS-0151 following multiple doses of GS-0151 in participants with RA.

Why Other Patients Applied

"I am an active athlete who is not ready or willing to stop my activities because of knee pain at 42. I have tried cortisone shots and found they only temporary mask the issue, or even cause more problems later. That's why I started researching medical studies."

GM
Arthritis PatientAge: 44

"I have been struggling with severe knee pain since my service in the military. I am only 52! I miss doing the things I used to do."

NA
Arthritis PatientAge: 55

"I've been 17+ years in pain with bilateral osteoarthritis. PRP and HA injections have not helped. Physical therapy has helped only to a certain degree. I'm looking for new treatment options before considering replacement. "

RH
Arthritis PatientAge: 39

"My orthopedist recommended a half replacement of my right knee. I have had both hips replaced. Currently have arthritis in knee, shoulder, and thumb. I want to avoid surgery, and I'm open-minded about trying a trial before using surgery as a last resort."

HZ
Arthritis PatientAge: 78

"I’ve tried several meds without too much relief. Injections only work on my right knee but not much on the left knee. My pain is nearly unbearable at this point. Hoping to learn about what promising drugs exist in trials."

YV
Arthritis PatientAge: 61
This research will evaluate a multifaceted patient-centered intervention in a sample of socioeconomically disadvantaged Hispanic adults with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) that capitalizes on a partnership between the extended rheumatology healthcare team and each patient in order to promote understanding, uptake and adherence to the principles of treat-to-target strategy. The primary hypothesis of this study is that the addition of a multifaceted intervention incorporating integrated multidisciplinary rheumatologic care, nurse-directed self-management education and supportive follow-up, and technology-based at home RA symptom monitoring and reporting to clinical guideline-based care will increase RA remission rate at 6 months.
