Air Quality Improvement for Acute Respiratory Tract Infection
(HAIQU Trial)
What You Need to Know Before You Apply
What is the purpose of this trial?
The purpose of this research is to assess whether integration of an aerosol biosensor and air quality risk assessment software that integrates into a building management system will improve indoor air quality metrics in hospital environments and reduces risk factors associated with respiratory disease transmission.

Are You a Good Fit for This Trial?
This trial is for people in hospital environments where there is a risk of catching or spreading acute respiratory tract infections. There are no specific inclusion or exclusion criteria listed, so it may involve patients, staff, or visitors.Inclusion Criteria
Exclusion Criteria
Timeline for a Trial Participant
Screening
Participants are screened for eligibility to participate in the trial
Implementation
Implementation of the HAIQU biosensor and risk assessment software in emergency departments to monitor and improve indoor air quality
Follow-up
Participants are monitored for safety and effectiveness after implementation of the biosensor and software
What Are the Treatments Tested in This Trial?
Trial Overview
The study is testing whether using an air quality monitoring system with biosensors and special software can improve indoor air quality and lower the risk of spreading respiratory infections in hospitals. Participants may be asked to use self-swab tests.
How Is the Trial Designed?
