What You Need to Know Before You Apply

What is the purpose of this trial?

With this study, it is expected to learn more about preterm babies on breathing support with nasal continuous positive airway pressure (nCPAP). To gain more information on how much oxygen is actually delivered to the baby from the nCPAP machine.

Are You a Good Fit for This Trial?

This trial is for preterm babies (born early) who need breathing support due to lung problems like collapsed lung or respiratory distress. Babies with other serious health issues may not be included.

Inclusion Criteria

Gestational age at birth must be less than 35 weeks of completed gestation as documented in the subject's initial history and physical
My baby is stable while on nasal CPAP support.
The infant must be receiving 22-40% oxygen at the time of the study

Exclusion Criteria

I am not on a breathing machine or do not need help to breathe.
I was born with major heart or lung defects.
I need more than 40% oxygen to breathe at this time.
