What You Need to Know Before You Apply

What is the purpose of this trial?

This study will examine the independent and combined effects of creatine and carbohydrate supplementation on exercise performance, compared to placebo.

Are You a Good Fit for This Trial?

This trial is for healthy adults who want to improve their exercise performance and recovery. People with health conditions or those taking medications that could affect the results are not eligible.

Inclusion Criteria

I am between 18 and 40 years old.
Nonsmoking
I am healthy and have no history of heart disease.

Exclusion Criteria

Previously taken creatine and/or any other dietary supplement that may interfere with exercise performance

Timeline for a Trial Participant

Screening

Participants are screened for eligibility to participate in the trial

1-2 weeks

Treatment

Participants receive creatine and/or carbohydrate supplementation every 20 minutes during exercise sessions

4 weeks

Follow-up

Participants are monitored for safety and effectiveness after treatment

2 weeks

Trial Overview

The study compares how creatine, carbohydrates, both together, or a placebo affect endurance and recovery after exercise. Participants are randomly assigned to one of these supplement groups.
