What You Need to Know Before You Apply
What is the purpose of this trial?
This study will evaluate the sensitivity and specificity of low field portable MRI (pMRI) for detection of hypoxic ischemic brain injuries in pediatric patients compared to clinically obtained neuroimaging to define pediatric diagnostic limitations and to determine the diagnostic capabilities of this neuroimaging modality following optimization of image acquisition. The results of this study will help determine optimal clinical implementation opportunities in pediatric patients.

Are You a Good Fit for This Trial?
This trial is for children and teens (newborn to 17 years old) in intensive care units who have or are at high risk for brain injury due to lack of oxygen. Participants must be hospitalized with a suspected recent brain problem caused by low oxygen.Inclusion Criteria

Treatment
Perform portable MRI (pMRI) on pediatric ICU patients to evaluate sensitivity and specificity for detecting brain injuries

What Are the Treatments Tested in This Trial?
Trial Overview
The study is testing how well a portable MRI scanner can detect brain injuries from low oxygen in kids, compared to standard hospital imaging. It also collects leftover samples like blood or fluids for analysis.
