What is the purpose of this trial?

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of hydroxychloroquine sulfate (a type of drug commonly used to treat joint pain caused by inflammation, swelling) in reducing joint pain associated with Aromatase Inhibitor Associated Musculoskeletal Syndrome (AIMSS) for patients with breast cancer.

Are You a Good Fit for This Trial?

This trial is for people with breast cancer who are experiencing joint pain and stiffness caused by taking aromatase inhibitors. Participants should not have other conditions or reasons that would prevent them from safely joining the study.

Inclusion Criteria

I have new or worse muscle or joint pain since starting AI therapy.
My blood and organ tests show normal or acceptable function.
I am able to care for myself and perform daily activities.

Exclusion Criteria

I have used hydroxychloroquine or chloroquine in the past 6 months.
I have a history of psoriasis.
I am taking a medication that I cannot stop or switch, which is not allowed in this study.
