What is the purpose of this trial?

Adductor Canal Block: Efficacy in Postoperative Pain Management for Cardiac Surgery

Are You a Good Fit for This Trial?

This trial is for adults who are having heart bypass surgery or varicose vein procedures. People with certain medical conditions or reasons that would make the procedure unsafe may not be able to join.

Inclusion Criteria

I am scheduled for CABG using one or both great saphenous veins, without valve surgery.
I am 18 years old or older.
I understand the study and can give written consent.

Exclusion Criteria

Participation in two other interventional studies at the Montreal Heart Institute
My vein was removed using an endoscopic (minimally invasive) method.
Contraindication to adductor canal block (e.g., local infection, allergy to local anesthetics)
