What You Need to Know Before You Apply

What is the purpose of this trial?

Pediatric patients 6-21 years of age with supratentorial recurrent, refractory, or progressive pediatric ependymoma and high-grade glioma (HGG) will be included in this study of treatment with Rhenium-186 Nanoliposome (186RNL). Phase 1 of the study will look to determine the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) of 186RNL in this patient population. Phase 2 of the study will use the recommended dose determined in Phase 1 to continue to look at overall response rate and progression-free survival following 186RNL treatment.

Are You a Good Fit for This Trial?

This trial is for children and young adults aged 6 to 21 with certain brain tumors (ependymoma or high-grade glioma) that have come back, are not responding to treatment, or are getting worse. Tumors must be a certain size and patients need to be well enough overall with good organ function.

What Are the Treatments Tested in This Trial?

Interventions

  • Rhenium-186 Nanoliposome

Trial Overview

The study is testing Rhenium-186 Nanoliposome, a new drug given directly into the tumor. The first phase finds the safest dose; the second phase checks how well it works at that dose in shrinking or controlling these brain tumors.
